I cant stop thinking about this girl who has a boyfriend?
Ok so there is this foreign exchange student from brazil who i dated for not very long. Things were going good until she decided she cant date anymore because she has a boyfriend back home. This really has me upset and it has been nearly a month and i still cant get over it no matter what. All i think about is her and here lucky boyfriend. I feel so jealous.

If she is a foreign exhange student, that means soon enough she will have to go back to Brazil, and that will end up becoming a long distance relationship, and usually those types of relationships are difficult and do not last. It doesn't really seem worth it. You can still be friends and hang out. She does have someone back home, and when she has to go back to Brazil, she will be going back to him, so its best to not get yourself involved with this girl, because you will end up hurt....

as i already told i am an engineering student here in india and want to continue my studies in brazil either in MBA or Masters in engineering with MBA at first place preferably in Sao Paulo. can anyone tell me about the admission procedures? and also if all the classes are in Portuguese then does the university provide any preparatory course for it?? Also is there any entrance exam that i'll have to clear, and if so can I give it from India or not??? and any sort of other information is also welcome. here's my brief resume * 3 years full time diploma in computer engineering from from Asia's 3rd top polytechnic . * Bachelor's degree in computer engineering. * Few industrial trainings. * Some experience in software development.

An American going to college in Brazil?
I am currently living in Brazil as in exchange student for my junior year of high school, and when I return (July of 2010) I have to finish up high school. When I finish, I want to go to college in Brazil. I don't want to be with a different college and study abroad here, I want to live here and go to college. To do this here they need to take Enem, it's like the ACT/SAT there, but harder and in Portuguese. I am already quite good at Portuguese and will be almost fluent by the time I leave. How could I work this out? Will I have to take Enem too, or do they have a program for foreigners? I was thinking a college in the South. Sao Paulo, Santa Catarina, Parana, or maybe Minas Gerias. Just let me know what you know! Muita obrigada!

hello, girl! I'm Brazilian... In Brazil, the student begin to study in February and finish in December. They'll have holidays in July and January. Have you ready suscribed the Enem? Enem will begin the next week! If you ask about a program for froeigners, search for www.enem.inep.gov.br and enter in contact with them and get their informations. See you! Boa sorte!

No, you can work and pay a private one. Enem to private colleges is just to reduce the money you pay every month or if you would like to go to a public one. Si eu fosse vc... eu iria entrar em contato com a universidade que vc quer atender. Ver os requisitos de entrar como estrangeiro, e quando for falar com eles comecar em Portuguese pra mostrar que vc esta seria, se eles comecam falar em Ingles contigo tudo bem voltar pra ingles. Eu duvido que eles deixam vc entrar sem passar no vestibular. Mas quem sabe, bora ver. Contact the school you want to attend and see what they say. Speak with them in portuguese so they know your serious.

I'm going to Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil in a couple days to be an exchange student. What should I expect, or what is something interesting about this area of Brazil?

Hum...Florianopolis is not a large city (400.000 habitants), it has a good quality of life, it's organized and people there are polite...But it's not an interesting city for who likes funny, history, good beaches, culture and Colonial constructions... The state of Santa Catarina is cool! In the other cities, there are many options of leisure and culture. German people colonized the interior of the state and there are many beautiful and historical constructions! Maybe you'll like the city because it's gonna be a new experience for you, this is gonna be a new thing...But I don't think that Florinaopolis is a good city to live during many time...

hi Florianopolis is beautiful city, many Brazilian love to visit Floripa. The main attraction here is the beaches or marine sports such as surfing, diving, windsurf and etc.. Or you can just visit there and have some beers. Summer goes until March or April, if you want to appreciate the summer activity, I recommend you starts get going right after you arrive to the city. You would enjoy the city much better if you drive the car, bcz the public transportation here is so terrible, but not that complicated, just need patience. The southern part of the island has many beautiful beaches w/ nature, the northern part is more developed, many celebrities used to like Jurere Internacional Beach. If you like some adventure, I recommend, you visit Campeche Island. Winter here is pretty boring, nothing to do, used to have a huge line in front of cinema on weekend. The cafes or coffee shop will be packed in the city. If you'd like to visit other city in Brazil, I suggest you do in June-August. Because the northern part of Brazil doesn't get that cold like in Floripa. Here, you don't need 100% wool coat but good jacket in winter time, gets down around 10℃. I am foreigner, living here for 10 yrs, love this city, hope you like also. Have a nice stay:)
