Any ideas for a way to greet a friend at the airport?
Any ideas for a way to greet a friend at the airport?
I'm going with my family to pick up an exchange student from Brazil and I need something creative to take with me to pick her up. I would take a sign and balloons, but that's too original. I need something better :)

um i cant think of anything other than a really big sign, maybe a pizza? she might be hungry from the plane or a dessert. It might be her first american food :) make sure she doesn't have any food allergies

Sign and balloons EDIT: @<3 You do know, Pizza isn't American, and the US isn't the only country in the world that eats pizza. Brazilians do too lol.

Put on a Brazilian football (soccer) jersey and welcome her in Portuguese (Brazilian language).

A sign with helium balloons is good enough. You don't want to embarrass your exchange student at the get-go by being so extravagant. Tell her you will be the one with the balloons so it will be easier for her to spot you. Since a bouquet of balloons attracts attention, you don't want to overdo it. Balloons are fun and festive, so just keep it simple. She may be overwhelmed coming to this country. Don't overwhelm her with embarrassment.
