What are the steps I should take, being a drama student form Brazil to pursue a creer in the UK?
My studies are actually in ah iatus now, so I do not have any professional formation yet, but I have read some about it and I would like some tips from actors, especially any who have gone to live abroad with this intent. Should I study in the UK (quite expensive), should I study here and then travel? should I just go for it? Which seems the hardest to do having no connections or agent yet.. And answering the good point the first 'answerer' made, I do have a good fluency in English, mostly american accent, but I work well with accents and I do believe with a little instruction I would be able to perfect the ones I can work with (including British, which I really do wish to study more of, love it).

The U.K. is a very small and competitive market where actors are concerned and heavily reliant upon English and the class of dialect you possess and can do on command. How is your English? If you speak like a non native your work prospects in the U.K. will be almost non existent. You would fare much better in the U.S. but even then you'd have a few of the same obstacles. The U.S. market however is far larger and more forgiving. If the U.K. is what you really what you want to do you might as well go for it. The sooner you start your journey the sooner answers will come your way. It's much too soon to worry about connections or agents. None of those will be able to help you until you get yourself settled.

I think if you can work around with accent then the ball game depends on your drama skills. You can win the game as well. more on studying in the uk - http://www.smartukstudent.com
