Well, I am from Brazil and live in the USA. The Brazilian everyday food is rice and beans and beef meat, chicken (we use every piece of it...even the heart, the liver...I didn't eat that when i lived there), pork, but something that is not common: rabbit, lamb, buffalo. Everyone eats fish: all kinds. People mostly like codfish (not my favorite) and white fish. Prices? they all can vary. However it is much cheaper than in the USA! There are McDonald's, Burger King , TGIF, Subway, most American eating places are there too...and very cheap. The expensive restaurants are the French ones. Still the Italian or German ones are not expensive. We also have a very special one that you can eat all kinds of meats, plus vegetables, pasta for a special price and you can eat as much as you want, plus the desserts. The only thing that is not included on the price is the drinks. And we have the same related to pizzas. All kinds (even sweet pizzas, such as fruit/chocolate pizzas) for a certain price. I haven't lived in Brazil for 20 years now, but here in America we have the meat restaurant and it is U$55 per person, I'd say it is $30 in Brazil because it is always half of the price here! Good luck for you and enjoy Brazil because it is usually very hot there. Temperature , even in the winter, is about 35C (around 90 or 95F)! Have fun.
